Cooperation with Allianz Pro Media Diversity

The Democracy Foundation Basel supports Allianz Pro Media Diversity in its campaign against the so-called “halving initiative,” which is intended to significantly reduce (“halve”) the fees for radio and television.

Media are hugely relevant to democracy, and the existence of strong, impartial and not-for-profit Swiss radio and television is crucial for democracy in Switzerland, but also for cohesion between cantons and language regions.
