Cooperation with Allianz Pro Media Diversity

The Democracy Foundation Basel supports Allianz Pro Media Diversity in its campaign against the so-called “halving initiative,” which is intended to significantly reduce (“halve”) the penalty fees for radio and television. Media are hugely relevant to democracy, and the existence of strong, impartial and not-for-profit Swiss radio and television is crucial for democracy in Switzerland, but also for cohesion between cantons and language regions.
